Background

The Children’s Medical Fund of New York is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing ongoing funding for the needs of seriously ill children and their families. As the funding arm for one of the highest profile children’s hospitals globally, CMFNY requires an effective digital platform to tell their story, process donations, and promote various fundraising activities. Their existing website was outdated, inefficient, and lacked social media integration, making it challenging to manage and promote their initiatives effectively. 

Challenges

CMFNY faced several significant challenges. Their outdated website required external IT management for updates, making it both costly and inefficient. It also lacked connections to the organization’s social media platforms, which limited the reach and effectiveness of their fundraising campaigns. Finally, the existing process of maintaining separate sites for event-related content and general information had become tedious and costly.

By combining CMFNY’s event-related content and general information into a single, cohesive website, Linx significantly reduced the costs associated with maintaining two separate sites. This streamlined approach allowed CMFNY to control their own data, resulting in a significant cost savings. Additionally, the implementation of a robust email system and optimized, user-friendly website design helped increase event attendance and engagement. Lastly, the development of the “Heroes with Heart” program further enhanced their fundraising efforts by providing a compelling, emotionally engaging initiative.  

As a result, the Children’s Medical Fund of New York has generated over $85 million in donations and continues to see growth in its fundraising efforts.
